Pelosi: Holder Contempt Vote is Part of Republican Voter Suppression Scheme

By Rush Limbaugh | June 21, 2012 | RushLimbaugh.com

RUSH: We now have the official… it took a while, about 24 hours, the official Democrat Party response to the contempt citation voted by the committee yesterday against Eric Holder.  It comes from Nancy Pelosi.  This morning in Washington, this is what the former Speaker said this is all about.

PELOSI:  It’s really important to note how this is connected with some of their other decisions.  It is no accident, it is no coincidence, that the attorney general of the United States is the person responsible for making sure that voter suppression does not happen in our country. [Read more…]

Eating the State [Video]

By Daniel Greenfield | June 16, 2012 | Sultan Knish

In Gotham, Michael the First, King of Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, Bronx and the rebellious province of Staten Island, has returned from celebrating his successful campaign against large sodas, to consider expanding the ban to large popcorn and milkshakes. Los Angeles has voted to ban the plastic bag and add a 10 cent fine for paper bags.

Where does the future of the Nanny State lead? In Sweden, the Left Party is calling for men to be banned from urinating standing up. And why not? If the government should have a say in what food you eat and what you carry the groceries you buy in, why not have it complete the cycle and tell you how to eliminate them?

We have laws that strictly control every aspect of the production, packaging, distribution and sale of food. From there we moved on to laws controlling the consumption and consumer transportation of it. Once every step in the process from planting the seed in the earth to actually putting it in your mouth has been legislated and regulated; all that’s left is a government mandated bathroom experience.

A Republican Liberation Movement [Video]

By Daniel Greenfield | June 10, 2012 | Sultan Knish

The real lesson of Wisconsin is that the Republican Party is at its strongest and greatest when it acts as a revolutionary liberation movement, breaking apart the power relationships of the Democratic Party that stifle people’s personal, economic and religious lives.

The Democratic Party has made it its mandate to politicize and collectivize the personal. It has done this to militarize every area of life, to transform all human activities into a battlefield and to bring every area of life under the aegis of its power relationships. These power relationships form its infrastructure, fusing together governmental and non-governmental organizations, to form the true ruling class.

These power relationships act as dams, walling up human energy into organizational structures, they create the mandates that provide power and money to the organizations, which are fed throughout the infrastructure to create a massive cage of bureaucrats, activists and think-tanks that set the agenda, which becomes law, and is then enforced by governments at every level.

Detroit: The Moral of the Story

By Kevin D. Williamson | Jun 8, 2012 | National Review

The Left’s answer to the deficit: raise taxes to protect spending. The Left’s answer to the weak economy: raise taxes to enable new spending. The Left’s answer to the looming sovereign-debt crisis: raise taxes to pay off old spending. For the Left, every deficit is a revenue-side problem, not a spending-side problem, and the solution to every economic problem is more spending, necessitating more taxes. The problem with that way of looking at things is called Detroit, which looks to be running out of money in about one week. Detroit is what liberalism’s end-game looks like.

After Wisconsin Exit Polls, White House Must Wonder If All the Polling is Wrong

RUSH:  You know what they’re asking themselves in the White House today?  They’re probably asking themselves a lot of things, and they’re probably lying to themselves about a lot of things.  I think the question that they’re asking themselves today, something along the lines of, “What if all of the polling we have is wrong?”

Greetings, my friends, great to have you back.  Here we are, Rush Limbaugh, the EIB Network, Limbaugh Institute for Advanced Conservative Studies.  Great to be with you.  Here’s the telephone number: 800-282-2882.  E-mail address, ElRushbo@eibnet.com.

George Will Schools Krugman on Gov. Walker: $3 Billion Deficit ‘He Inherited’ Has ‘Become a Surplus’ [Video]

By Noel Sheppard | June 03, 2012 | Newsbusters

New York Times columnist Paul Krugman got another much-needed education from syndicated columnist George Will on ABC’s This Week Sunday.

After Krugman impugned Gov. Scott Walker (R-Wisc.) for his so-called “fiscal irresponsibility,” Will simply and quite accurately responded, “A more than $3 billion budget that he inherited, a deficit, has now become a surplus” (video follows with transcript and commentary): [Read more…]

Why Kenyan Birth Claim Was No ‘Fact Checking Error’

By Jack Cashill | May 19, 2012 | American Thinker

No sooner did the literary agency brochure in which Barack Obama was said to be Kenyan-born surface than the media went to work to deep-six it.

“This was nothing more than a fact checking error by me – an agency assistant at the time,” Miriam Goderich, now a named partner in the literary agency, Dystel & Goderich, wrote in an emailed statement to Yahoo News, which was then picked up ABC News.  “There was never any information given to us by Obama in any of his correspondence or other communications suggesting in any way that he was born in Kenya and not Hawaii. I hope you can communicate to your readers that this was a simple mistake and nothing more.”

This confession rings false to the point of preposterous for any number of reasons.  Let us start with the obvious.  At the time, 1991, the Acton & Dystel agency listed 90 clients, Obama among its least significant.  How likely is it that Goderich would have remembered enough about a 1991 “error” to know it was hers, especially since it went uncorrected through several revisions until changed in 2007?  To make this claim credible, there would have to be an existing paper trail leading to an Obama submission in which he lists an Hawaiian birth.  I am confident that there is no such submission.
